About

well, hello there! welcome to the site of ‘verse-meets-virtue’. We’re a collective of Catholic artists seeking virtue in Christ via faith-filled creative action.

what’s the verse-meets-virtue vision?

faith-based verse seeking virtue in Christ

The vision of our work is outreach. We aim to create causes (termed campaigns) that can encourage faith in our own selves, and in others. We do this foremostly via creative means; focusing in on God-given talents to assist in promoting good in the world.

images, colours & symbols of our catholic collective

the pen & the cross

The pen and cross dually combined in our logo (as the ‘t’), work together to symbolise creativity directed by and connected to Christ. the creative passion of our collective is to be yielded by a combination of creative energy and Christian values.

the crumpled paper

Crumpled paper is often a common thing for artists and writers – the universally common concept of the discarded, ‘not good enough’ work. This idea of Imperfection and artistry go hand in hand. We have utilised the image of crumpled paper to reflect the state of the unhappy, imperfect artist, who struggles; but struggles onward. This is also reflective of the state of man; us all being sinners who should seek perfection but do so via perseverance, persistence and reliance on God. The crumpled paper suggests while it isn’t perfect, it is being attempted to be improved and worked on.

the colours

the ‘corporate’ colours, so to speak, are white, black, maroon/red and bright/olive-toned green. Not only do these colours intone a colour theme suggestive of sacrifice, nature and refinement, they have been intentionally selected to inspire creativity. Greens evoke creativity and nature, whereas red suggests pain, passion and love.
